Committed to Community

At Community Bank we contribute to the communities we serve through our time, talents and contributions. We are dedicated to community involvement and believe it's our responsibility to give back to the communities that trust us with their financial well-being. We believe that part of our role as a community bank is to better the community for years to come. Our Officers, Employees and Board of Directors serve on boards for nonprofits and volunteer their personal time for a number of charitable organizations.

Mankato Salvation Army

Community Bank employees partner with Mankato Salvation Army to ring bells and pack Christmas food for area families.

Ringing bells for 10 hours between multiple days, employees spread Christmas cheer and raised over $460 for local families. Just $30 will provide a family with two bags of groceries or shelter an individual for a night - employees just helped out 15 families, just by ringing a bell!

Giving families the gift of a well-rounded Christmas dinner at home and making their Christmas a little brighter! Community Bank employees helped Mankato Salvation Army pack 500 Christmas food baskets.

Kiwanis Holiday Lights

It is becoming a new family tradition for many to walk or drive through the Kiwanis Holiday Lights; to see all the bright lights, hear the Christmas music, visit Santa and his reindeer, ride in the horse drawn carriage and to sip on hot chocolate. Each year, something new gets added to the display and makes the experience even greater and each year, you can find Community Bank employees volunteering for one night.

Feeding Our Communities Partners

Winter Break is often a time of joy and excitement for students, but for those who are food-insecure, this time of year can be met with anxiety about where their next meal will come from without breakfast and lunch being provided at the school cafeteria. Feeding Our Communities Partners’ BackPack Food Program helped alleviate that anxiety with Winter Break food boxes which were packed with enough food to sustain them during the twelve-day break.  Community Bank employees helped distribute food boxes for two days for area families. Not only did families receive food boxes, but they also were able to pick out three books to take home to each of their children.
